Hannah Gertridge
Massage TherapistSpeaks: EnglishHannah is a hardworking and patient oriented RMT who has been working for pt Health since 2018. She specializes in therapeutic and lymphatic cupping, guasha, fascial approache including head, neck, jaw, scar adhesion release, and general Swedish techniques. Hannah uses a personalized combination of these specialities to get the best treatment for the patient.
Jillian Smith
KinesiologistSpeaks: EnglishJillian is a 2023 graduate from Saint Francis Xavier University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics (Kinesiology). She works alongside physiotherapist, Alyssa Aquino, assisting with patient care, completing functional assessments, and creating exercise programs.
She is passionate about client-centred care, and is dedicated to providing and managing individualized treatment to help patients achieve their goals.
Fiona Gordon
PsychologistSpeaks: EnglishFiona graduated from McGill University with a Masters in Counselling Psychology in 2007 and a Bachelors of Science in Biology 2003/Psychology (Hons) 2005 from Saint Mary’s University. She represented McGill as the student representative for the Canadian Counselling Association during her studies.
She continued her education while practicing in Colleges and Universities with young adults from 2008-2011. With a passion to teach, she worked as an Adjunct Professor in the Behaviour Psychology Program at St. Lawrence College teaching courses of Life Span Development and others, she also supervised 4th year student’s work placements and thesis projects. She expanded her treatment population to provide assessment and treatment planning for adults in the criminal justice system in Ontario. She worked within the Ontario Justice specialized mental health court in Belleville, ON as a pivot role to bridge between the legal systems and mental health division/support for treatment.
For nine years, she further refined her expertise in providing assessment, case review and treatment planning and therapeutic intervention for clients in primary care, with family health teams in Kingston, Ontario. Further and significant training in providing treatment for Mood/Anxiety disorders group therapy, trauma, adjustment disorders and OCD while working with an interdisciplinary group of health care providers. During these nine years she further mastered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Mindfulness based CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Emotional Focused Therapy. Narrative Therapy.
While completing her licences for Ontario Board of Psychologists, which includes significant coursework and professional development for practice of the profession, competed the Jurisprudence Ethics examination, the Examination for Professional Practice of Psychology (North American standard for practice), and a board directed oral examination. She is also registered to practice with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology and worked within NS Health as Psychologist. Private Practice work was apart of the joy of working with clients from 2016-2023 in clinics in Kingston, ON, Toronto, ON, Kentville, NS during this time she began working with members of the Canadian Armed Forces and Veterans. She started with Lifemark as a full time Psychologist in 2003.
Alyssa Aquino
PhysiotherapistSpeaks: EnglishAlyssa is a dedicated physiotherapist who is deeply committed to helping her patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Raised in the Annapolis Valley, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at St. FX University in 2014 before pursuing her Masters in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University, where she graduated in 2017. Upon returning home, she joined the private practice setting, where she uses her extensive knowledge and expertise to provide top-notch care to her patients. Alyssa is passionate about helping patients regain their strength and mobility through personalized treatment plans and enjoys working with them to develop achievable goals. In her free time, she enjoys staying active in the community through local volleyball programs and participating in outdoor activities.
